SLL
Sounds Like Life is a band based in Tulsa, OK, made up of singer/songwriter/guitarist Dylan Allen(me), and singer/songwriter Rhiannon Leach. We met in college at the University of Tulsa, and first played together in the band at XA Campus Ministries. SLL started when I was asked to play at Agora Coffee House and did my first gig outside of a church or campus ministry. After this I asked my friends Rhiannon and James Smith(drums) to play with me at the next gig. The three of us played several gigs together, and along the way our friend Lindsey Lamb filled in for James on hand percussion, and more recently Kaymen Pitts played bass, hand percussion, and harmonica with us.
James started his own business which has been keeping him pretty busy so we haven’t had the pleasure of playing with him for the past year or so. As far as the studio work, it has been Rhiannon and I for the most part, and Kaymen layed down a bass track for us, as he is a fantastic bassist. Our group is still developing, and I am looking forward to what is ahead of us. There is a lot of work to be done and a lot of great music to be made. We are thankful for the gifts God has given to us and we intend make the most of them, and enjoy the heck out of it!
